KIMBERLY JONES, JD, CAE
With fifteen years of experience advocating for low-income, first-generation students, students of color, and students with disabilities, Kimberly Jones has established herself as a credible voice in higher education policy in Washington, D.C. By engaging policymakers at all levels and mobilizing grassroots partners, she has led successful campaigns to win critical legislative victories over the years. Most notably, she has leveraged to her talents to yield over a billion dollars in federal funding annually to support the educational aspirations of our nation’s underserved students.
As a result of her expertise in the areas of higher education, congressional relations, and grassroots mobilization, Kimberly has been featured in publications such as the Chronicle of Higher Education, Inside Higher Ed, and Diverse Issues in Higher Education and has delivered remarks at convenings by Comcast Internet Essentials, the NAACP, LULAC, and other notable organizations. Kimberly has served in leadership roles within various professional and civic organizations and has won numerous honors in recognition of her commitment to public service.
A Harry S. Truman Scholar, Kimberly is a graduate of Yale University and the Georgetown University Law Center.
